NORMAN LANCELOT EWBANK,  was born Aug. 3rd, 1912, and died Aug. 9th, 1914, being 3 years and 6 days old.   Just old enough by his baby ways and childish prattle to endear him to the home and those that knew him, when  “Death”  that relentless enemy claimed him.    He was the youngest of six children born to John and Ruby Ewbank.  Although there are others to love, none can fill little Norman’s place in our hearts and home.

“Sleep little Norman,  Take thy rest,
God called thee home, He thought it best.”

The funeral was held at their home in New Market, Tuesday, Aug. 11. A short talk and prayer was given by John A. Hicks and the songs were sung by a quartette composed of Lura Young, Grace Smith, Ernest Yount and Walter Pinkley.  The pallbearers were  Mary Easley,  Thelma Quinley,  Gladys Swearingen and Inez Douglas. Burial was made in the Masonic cemetery. -s
